The Model 434 heavy blaster pistol was a popular blaster pistol manufactured by Merr-Sonn Munitions, Inc.
A compact blaster pistol, the 434 earned the nickname "DeathHammer" from its loyal users because of its heavy durasteel plating (resulting in a weight of 1.2 kg) and deadly fire capability.
Selling for 650 credits, the DeathHammer was popular among bounty hunters, mercenaries and other professional gunslingers on worlds such as Tatooine. Because of its near ubiquity within those professions, owners often decorated or modified their DeathHammers. The Kubaz spy, Garindan used one of these pistols. During the beginning phase of the Swarm War, Lando Calrissian gave Han Solo a DeathHammer after UnuThul took his DL-44 heavy blaster pistol.
