The Merr-Sonn Model 57 blaster pistol was a weapon similar in appearance to the BlasTech DL-44 heavy blaster pistol.

The Rebel Alliance purchased a number of these weapons from an arms dealer on Ord Mantell. One of them came into the possession of Luke Skywalker, who used it as a backup weapon for his father's lightsaber.[1]
