A molecular furnace was a device that consumed material, broke down its physical structure, and used it to create new substances.

HistoryEdit

Molecular furnaces had been in use in mining droids for at least several centuries before the Battle of Yavin, and was also used in Coruscant construction droids. Umak Leth designed a new type that became the basis for the World Devastator.
