The Montrosa Islands were a long chain of islands located in the middle of Montrosa Ocean on the planet Reytha.

The islands were too small to be of any agricultural use, and were too remote to be of any interest to colonizers, which made them ideal for Rebel Alliance airbases and shipyards.

The presence of an Rebel force in 0 ABY necessitated an incursion by Galactic Empire forces led by Darth Vader to destroy them.

Behind the scenesEdit

The Montrosa Islands first appeared during the Darth Vader campaign in the 2001 video game Star Wars: Galactic Battlegrounds. The campaign was also included in the 2002 video game Clone Campaigns.
