Mota was a member of the Worker class who lived on the planet of New Apsolon. He sold weapons illegally, while the leader of the Workers, Lenz preferred obtaining their weapons legally. However, in one case, Lenz told Jedi Master Qui-Gon Jinn and his Padawan Obi-Wan Kenobi that Mota could help them find a probe droid, information about Balog and two speeders.
