A mountain was a mass of land that stood significantly above its surroundings. Planets as diverse as Asmeru,[1] Moraband,[2] Serenno,[3] Ryloth,[4] Geonosis,[5] Oba Diah,[6] Oosalon,[7] and Lothal all had mountains.[8] Those of Alderaan[9] and Scipio were capped with snow,[10] and Coruscant's only uncovered mountain peak was located in Monument Plaza.[11] A mountain from which lava emerged was referred to as a volcano.[12]
