A Multi-Tasking Assistant, or MTA, was a compact device on which one could store information. It served as a sort of reminder mechanism or to-do list. One was used by the former reporter Den Dhur during his search for lightsaber parts for a new weapon for his friend, Jedi Knight Jax Pavan.
