The Mumuu were a species of tusked quadrupeds from Kalee. They were renowned for their thick hides, extraordinary backbone and possessing two hearts. Kaleesh would slay them with Shoni spears. This past-time eventually evolved into Mumuu-fighting and became a popular spectator sport among the Kaleesh.

The mask protects the face of Grievous was built on the model of a skull mumuu. The coverings of IG-100 MagnaGuards were also inspired by the shape of the skull mumuu.
