Murkhana City was the capital city of Murkhana and headquarters of the Corporate Alliance. Magistrate Passel Argente had allowed crime to flourish in Murkhana City, as long as he was able to profit—and he certainly succeeded in doing so. The city was taken by the Republic—and soon-to-be Empire—in the closing hours of the Clone Wars during the Battle of Murkhana.

Murkhana City was located on the black-sand shore of Murkhana Bay, and many of its buildings, including Argente Tower, looked as it they were grown from coral. Murkhana City contained extensive communications arrays used to broadcast shadowfeeds. It had four ten-kilometer-long bridges that linked the city to Murkhana Landing.
