A Mustafarian lava skimmer was a type of cauldron used by the Mustafarian miners of the Techno Union during the Clone Wars. The term not only applied to the cauldron, but also to the Mustafarian miners themselves.

The cauldron combined the function of crucible tongs and pouring shanks, which allowed the powerful miners to lift the lava-filled cauldrons with realitive ease. The tongs were equipped with pressure-stop locks to prevent damage to the cauldron walls.
