Mutiny on the Rand Ecliptic is a short story written by Michael Stern, originally published in the Galaxy Guide 3: The Empire Strikes Back, First Edition and later reprinted in the sourcebook's second edition as well as the The Movie Trilogy Sourcebook. It was subsequently archived on Star Wars Hyperspace.

Derek "Hobbie" Klivian's account of the mutiny on the Rand Ecliptic led by himself and Biggs Darklighter. He is telling the tale to Luke Skywalker onboard the Rebel medical frigate following the Battle of Hoth.

This account of the mutiny greatly differs from the version seen in the Star Wars: Empire story arc, Darklighter.
