Myomar was the site of starship maintenance facilities and supply depots used by the Galactic Empire. Han Solo stole the Millennium Falcon's deflector shield generators from an Imperial facility on Myomar.

Myomar was the homeworld of the Myomaran people. After the Myomaran homeworld was conquered by Grand Admiral Thrawn's offensive in 9 ABY, the Myomarans formed an organized resistance movement to Imperial occupation.

Myomar had housed an Imperial maintenance facility, was subjugated by Grand Admiral Ishin-Il-Raz in what became known as the Massacre at Myomar.

Years later, Han Solo and Chewbacca stole parts from there for the Millennium Falcon. The world joined the New Republic after the Battle of Endor, but was briefly occupied by Imperial forces under the command of Grand Admiral Thrawn.
