The Myr Rho was a subspecies of the Cathar, notable because they appeared to be less catlike than the baseline Cathar species.^[1]

Behind the scenesEdit

The Myr Rho appear to be named after the Cathar individual Myhr Rho. Myhr Rho appeared in The Star Wars Holiday Special. He was later retconned into a Cathar by his Databank entry, which explained that his appearance differed from previously seen Cathar such as Crado and Sylvar because he shaved off his fur to accommodate the hot Tatooine climate.^[2] If Myhr Rho is intended to belong to the Myr Rho subspecies, then Planet Hoppers article appears to be altering the above retcon.
