NCC-1701 was the designation of a starship of an unusual shape that was present on Coruscant when Wilhuff Tarkin, Bevel Lemelisk and Tol Sivron went to seek an approval of the Death Star I project from Emperor Palpatine.

Behind the scenesEdit

Obviously, this is meant to be the USS Enterprise (NCC-1701), the ship from Star Trek: The Original Series under the command of Captain James T. Kirk. The Enterprise-D and -E are later Galaxy-class and Sovereign-class designs. During Luke Skywalker's visit to Jomark in Dark Force Rising 3 a colonist can be seen holding a model of what is likely this particular ship, considering the attire worn by the crew members in that panel.
