The NK-3 ion cannon was a type of starfighter-scale ion cannon that was manufactured by Borstel Galactic Defense. Cygnus Spaceworks utilized the NK-3 weapons system on its Alpha-class Xg-1 Star Wings, as did Sienar Fleet Systems for their TIE/D Defenders, both of which saw service with the Imperial Navy during the Galactic Civil War. The TIE Defender carried two of these cannons, which it used to disable other craft.
