The NOVA Project was a military and scientific project for a new cloaking device technology. It was developed by Santhe/Sienar Technologies for the Empire during the Galactic Civil War.

HistoryEdit

The NOVA Project was launched some time after the Battle of Yavin. It was developed in the Santhe/Sienar Technologies Headquarters on the planet Lianna and was supervised by Philip Santhe himself. Emperor Palpatine assigned Lord Rodin Hlian Verpalion as overseer of the project.

The first steps of the project were very promising. The tests were conducted from the Imperial-class Star Destroyer Dominator. The technology was so effective that the ship completly lost control with its cloaked probe droids.

But the project was eventually abandoned. During a reception held Verpalion's honor, a team of Rebel operatives managed to steal a copy of the NOVA plans and sabotage the originals. When the device was finally tested during Verpalion's inspection, it failed to cloak the test ship, leaving Rodin furious and blaming Philip Santhe for the failure.
