[edit] History
Following the election of former queen Padmé Amidala, this room was set up to suit her needs. The apartment was accessed via a turbolift on the exterior of the building, rising up to a small reception room. From here, visitors were welcomed into the main room, with curved transparisteel windows and a central lounge area. A passage at the far end led to Padmé's bedroom, and from there on into her open-air veranda. Although ostensibly a private area, it included a small docking area for speeders and starfighters. It was decorated sparsely, there were two large statues of the Naboo Moon Goddess Shiraya which flanked the opening of the veranda out upon the city. A wish globe was also located in the apartment. Long after Amidala's habitation in the apartment, it became a high-class restaurant called the Naboo Queen, named after her former office as queen of Naboo.
[edit] Behind the scenes
This room was first seen in Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones where Amidala, Anakin Skywalker, and Obi-Wan-Kenobi discussed her safety when Zam Wessell was attempting to assassinate the senator. The apartment was the setting for the deleted scenes of Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith in which the Senators discussed their concern about Palpatine's amassing of power.
