The Naboo Royal Lifter was a troop transport spaceship employed by the Royal Naboo Security Forces.
Characteristics
Edit
The Naboo Royal Lifter was an unarmed starship used to transport troops and droid workers across the battlefield. The bow of the vessel was chromium, and the rest of the vessel was colored yellow. The main body was shaped like a teardrop and featured two stubby wings. They were produced at Royal Security Force airbases. The Royal Lifter's capacity was five troops, even if the troops were mounted.[1]
History
Edit
Around 32 BBY, one was used to transport Qui-Gon Jinn to Alaris Prime in the battle of Alaris Prime.[1]
Behind the scenes
Edit
The Naboo Royal Lifter appeared in the 2001 video game Star Wars: Galactic Battlegrounds. In the last mission of the tutorial, one Royal Lifter waits on the edge of the map for the player to build a Jedi Temple. If done so, it delivers Jinn to join in the battle. This article assumes the player did so. Royal Lifters were the Naboo civilization's "air transport" unit, and cost 29 units of food and 138 units of carbon. The campaign was later included in the 2002 expansion pack. A picture of it is used to represent the "air transport" unit in Star Wars: Galactic Battlegrounds: Prima's Official Strategy Guide.
