The human inhabitants of Naboo followed a calendar system that used the arrival of Kwilaan as its epoch. According to that system, the coronation of Queen Amidala took place on the 34th of Grizm, 835th Year of Kwilaan.[1]

Behind the scenesEdit

"And the dates in all that come from the season four—or are suggested by the season four—episode of Clone Wars, the, the finale of "The Box" arc, where we find out a little bit more about Naboo's history (because there's an assassination plan, or kidnapping attempt on Palpatine during, you know a major Naboo holiday.)"
Pablo Hidalgo[src]

The Naboo calendar system was first explicitely used in Pablo Hidalgo's 2016 reference book Star Wars Propaganda: A History of Persuasive Art in the Galaxy.[1] Hidalgo derived the "835th Year of Kwilaan" date from "Crisis on Naboo,"[2] the eighteenth episode of the Star Wars: The Clone Wars television series' fourth season,[3] in which it is said that Naboo joined the Republic "eight-hundred and forty-seven years ago".[4]
