A naming day, or name-day, was a special day in some cultures, similar to a birthday, for which gifts are given. Riboga the Hutt gave Nirama a juvenile rancor once as a naming day gift.

In the Korunnai culture, the name-day was a significant date when it was also celebrated with gift-giving.
