Early life
Edit
Narsk Ka'hane was raised solely by his aunt on the planet Verdanth in the Bothan community. Nearly every year, a new Sith Lord was taking over the planet and the Bothans always supported the new ruler without resistance. Narsk received assignments from various rulers. Once, he was harvesting rimebats from the caverns on Verdanth in a stealth suit. Later, he was tracking escapees, worked as a nonmilitary scout and as a saboteur. However, he never had any children. Finally, when there was a power vacuum on the planet because two Sith Lords had destroyed each other, Narsk went into space and studied the balance of power there.
Narsk ended up serving under the Sith Lord Vilia Calimondra, the grandmother of most Sith Lords who all want to inherit her possessions. Like other agents, Vilia needed him to gather information as well as to serve her grandchildren and to create challenges for them so that they are prepared for a future war. From her, Narsk learned more about Sith space and the whole galaxy than most people. He received an implant with which he could receive simple messages on his mission. Following Vilia's orders, Narsk took up missions from several Sith Lords and his reputation grew over time. Vilia also provided him a Cyricept Personal Concealment System, Mark VI stealth suit with an embedded tracking device.
Serving Odion
Edit
In 1,032 BBY, he was serving the Sith Lord Odion. On a mission to gather intelligence about and finally destroy the Convergence, constructed by Odion's brother and rival Daiman in the Daimanate Dynamic Testing Facility on Darkknell, he set up a cover identity as a machine tool operator from Nilash. After studying the traffic patterns and shifts of the guards, he sneaked into the facility multiple times with his stealth suit and loaded information about the ship onto his datapad.
Finally, he installed a baradium thermal charger in the facility. But on leaving the building, he was chased by what he thought would be one of Daiman's Correctors on the rooftops. Narsk stole a speeder bike from the Personal Transport Assembly Shop but was eventually stopped by the woman who turned out to be the Jedi Kerra Holt who did not support any of the Sith Lords. To his horror, she destroyed Narsk's datapad with the information, triggered the explosion and left him without his stealth suit handcuffed in a garbage bin, where he was eventually found by Daiman's men.
Among other people suspected to have caused the explosion of the Black Fang, Narsk was brought to the sentry station on Administrative Way. He was interrogated by many Correctors and told them his cover identity and that he had been robbed. Finally, Narsk was questioned by the Sith Lord Daiman who found out about the Jedi Kerra Holt and his true mission. When he thought he would be killed, Narsk was brought onto a stage for the entertainment of others.
Finally, Daiman let Narsk escape (with the help of Kerra Holt), counting on the fact that the spy would report his plans to Odion (which he did). Contacted by his true employer, Narsk then helped secretly arrange a ceasefire between Daiman and Odion on the world of Gazzari. This true employer turned out to be Vilia Calimondra, to whom he eventually returned (encountering Kerra Holt twice more on the way, on Byllura and on Syned).
