The New Academy for Space Pilots was a flight academy located on an unknown planet. It was responsible for training the pilots of the Planetary Pioneers.

Luke Skywalker, attending the academy as a member of the Pioneers, was responsible for destroying a maverick moon on a collision course with the planet. Following the moon's destruction through the use of Zukonium rays, Princess Leia Organa awarded Skywalker a medal of honor for saving the academy.
