New Generation Project

The New Generation Project was a scientific research endeavor funded by the Mandalorian warrior clans. The project's aim was to create Force-sensitive Mandalorian knights to rival the warriors of the Jedi Order. The Project was headed by Doctor Antos Wyrick, but ended in failure when the slaving organization known as The Crucible invaded the New Generation Academy and kidnapped all of Wyrick's child test subjects.

History

To fulfill his plan and create Mandalorian knights, Wyrick set up the New Generation Academy. Using DNA found on the robes of the deceased Jedi Master Arca Jeth, he created several children that he would train to help him in an eventual Mandalorian revolution. Jarael was the first of these children.

The project ended when the school was raided by the Crucible, a massive slaving organization. The children were captured and held on Osadia by their captors. Jarael became a Crucible minder before eventually escaping.

Years later, Wyrick found Jarael and planned to free all his former students from the Crucible. However, Chantique, Wyrick's daughter and one of the Crucible leaders, had killed the students and buried them in the yard. Furious, Wyrick killed her but died himself in the process, destroying his dreams of Force-sensitive Mandalorian warriors.

It was also revealed that the project had never worked and that all the children had never inherited the strong Force sensitivity of Arca Jeth that Wyrick wanted them to gain. Chantique's Force powers stemmed from Wyrick's own Force sensitivity that he had never figured out.
