New Holgha, a moderately urbanized world in the Outer Rim Territories, was conquered by the Yuuzhan Vong three months after the onslaught of the Yuuzhan Vong War. The planet had at least five large cities, the Five Holy Cities, making it one of the more urbanized worlds in the Rim. Although Boba Fett had passed on intelligence to the New Republic citing the world as the Vong's next target, the Republic did not trust the source, coming from a group of Mandalorians. They not only failed to evacuate the planet, but relocated its existing defenders to Pedd 4 leaving the planet and its population vulnerable. It subsequently fell without much of a battle, and most of the population were taken as slaves. It was here that Fett managed to pass on intelligence to a more reliable source, the Jedi Knight and NRI agent, Kubariet. Fett remarked that the sight of the Vong ships dissolving the cities for fuel reminded him of his encounter with the Sarlacc.
