Around 21 BBY,[2] the New Mandalorian Prime Minister Almec founded an investigative committee within his government and tasked it with fighting the spread of corruption amongst Mandalorian officials. Almec did so at the behest of Satine Kryze, the Duchess of Mandalore and the leader of the New Mandalorian people. Kryze had personally uncovered a plot to poison the children of Mandalore that was the direct result of corruption within her customs department, and so demanded that Almec rectify the problem.[1] Unbeknown to the Duchess, the Prime Minister instigated much of the corruption that was taking control of the planet.[3]
