New Raido was a city that was located on the planet Ord Radama. During the Great Galactic War, Livien Magnus, the capital city of Ord Radama, was destroyed during a battle between the Galactic Republic and the Sith Empire, and in the aftermath of the battle, New Raido became the new capital of Ord Radama. Several months later, the Sith returned to Ord Radama and the Sith Lord Darth Malgus planned to led an assault on New Raido.

Behind the scenesEdit

New Raido was created by Daniel Wallace and featured in the 2012 publication Book of Sith: Secrets from the Dark Side. Wallace intended the city to be a reference to the character Raido, a Devlikk podracer who appeared in the comic Star Wars The Clone Wars Volume 2: Crash Course. In the endnotes to Book of Sith, Wallace suggested that the name "Raido" may have seen common usage among the Devlikk and could be linked back to a famous, historical figure, after whom both the podracer and the city were named.^[1]
