The New Republic Archaeological Corps was an organization of the New Republic hastily formed with the rediscovery of Ossus. They were one of the leading research agencies involved in excavations on that planet. During the Yuuzhan Vong War, they investigated rumors that Yuuzhan Vong were exploring the Ossus ruins for secrets they could exploit in their attempted extermination of the Jedi.
