The New Republic HoloNet was an alternative broadcasting system used by the Rebel Alliance and the New Republic during its war with the Galactic Empire.

HistoryEdit

Active as far back as 4 ABY, the NR Holonet transmitted the destruction of the Death Star II across all HoloNet transceivers on Coruscant, setting in motion the Coruscant Uprising there.^[1]

It continued to serve as the official broadcasting system for the New Republic when it came to power on Coruscant in 7 ABY. Around this time, the Imperial operative Gara Petothel sent a coded transmission through the HoloNet in the hopes it would reach warlord Zsinj.^[1]
