New Republic task force (Kal'Shebbol)

This New Republic task force was assigned to liberate the planet Kal'Shebbol in 8 ABY. The fleet was to arrive at a specific time in the system, which would allow a freighter carrying elements of Page's Commandos to infiltrate the planet and bring down the shields. The task force battled Sarne's forces in orbit, but were unable to complete a victory over them when they disengaged and retreated into the Kathol sector. However, the task force was successful in liberating the planet.
After the liberation, the task force was given three days before it was to head to the Minos Cluster, hook up with Sarin Virgilio's group, and head to the Bozhnee sector to counter an Imperial Warlord that Admiral Ackbar was trying to box in. Because of these assignments, the admiral in command could not afford to commit a large amount of manpower or equipment to the FarStar mission.
