New Republic troopers (also known as New Republic soldiers) were standard foot soldiers the New Republic Defense Force. They were the successors of the Rebel troopers and were eventually converted into the Galactic Alliance Infantry Troopers.

HistoryEdit

The New Republic troopers later replaced the Rebel troopers in the months following the Battle of Endor and the formation of the New Republic. They were better trained and better equipped than they were during the Rebellion.^[1]

During the Yuuzhan Vong War, they wore a white body armor similar to the armor worn by stormtroopers; however, this armor did not cover the entire body. Underneath they wore light blue uniforms. Their helmets had orange tinted transparent visors that could seal the helmet. On the rear of the body armor was a tank connected to the helmet. They were armed with blaster rifles and pistols. These troops saw action during the Battle of Dantooine, Battle of Artorias, the Evacuation of Rychel in 25 ABY and the Second Battle of Ylesia in 28 ABY, along with hundreds of other battles during the war.

Weapons & EquipmentEdit

During the Galactic Civil War, New Republic troops were equipped with the same weapons and equipment from the Rebel troopers their primary weapon were either the DH-17 blaster rifle or the A280 blaster rifle. For sidearms either DH-17 blaster pistol or DL-44 heavy blaster pistol. In later years, notably the Yuuzhan Vong War, New Republic troopers wore armor similar to the Imperial stormtrooper and wield E-15A blaster rifles.
