Just prior to the Battle of Endor, Imperial Forces launched a campaign against the Nami Pirates.

At the time, the Nami were found to possess TIE Defenders. This situation was completely unacceptable to the Empire, especially with the upcoming confrontation with the Rebellion.

Grand Admiral Thrawn and Maarek Stele were among notable Imperial officers contributing to this campaign. This campaign was also the debut for the experimental starfighter, the Missile Boat, designed by Grand Admiral Thrawn. At its end, the Empire defeated the Nami forces, destroying their TIE Defender factory, and captured their leader Ali Tarrak.
