Ngdins were vampiric creatures used by the Yuuzhan Vong. Shaped like a tongue, the ngdins were used to consume blood from sacrifices, as well as excess bits of flesh not thrown to the maw luurs. They moved about on tiny cillia, which had a numbing affect on contact with flesh.

It is unknown what became of the ngdin after the war ended; though it can be assumed they were transplanted to Zonama Sekot where they would have joined the tampasi; though their role in the ecosystem was most likely changed by the Shapers.
