Nighthunter

Nighthunters were a nonsentient species of aggressive, catlike Force-sensitive predators that were believed to be mutant offshoots of another species, possibly the maalraas of Dxun.

By the time of the Clone Wars, they were thought to be extinct, but at least one still survived on Parein II 4. It attacked Valin Draco and they almost killed each other. Draco nursed it back to health and called it Crant. He later took it to the Almas Academy, where he had it guard the cage of Vhiin Thorla.
