A Nightsister Sith witch was a Dathomiri Nightsister who served the Sith and the Galactic Empire. Most learned to wield lightsabers and could conjure Force lightning, and their natural empathy with non-sentient animals made them powerful assets to their masters.[1]

Outlaw Nightsister

Sometime before 13 ABY, a single Nightsister Sith witch had somehow managed to escape her imprisonment on Dathomir and formed a small Outer Rim band of Force-using outlaws. They greatly desired the ancient Sith secrets discovered by Luke Skywalker on the planet Yavin 4, but knew that attacking while the New Jedi Order was at its strongest would have been suicide. However, when word reached them of Desann's failed attempt at attacking the academy, they decided to attack while the Jedi's forces were still weakened.[2]
They took advantage of the academy's chaotic state and struck quickly in their attempt to steal the Sith secrets from the base's computer. However, they had vastly underestimated the readiness of the academy and of Kyle Katarn, who managed to repel their forces.[2]
Behind the scenesEdit
This character from Star Wars Miniatures: Universe was purely based on one of Iain McCaig's early conceptual designs for Darth Maul, which was in turn based on a nightmare McCaig had, since Lucas had described Maul as being "a figure from your worst nightmare". The look of Mother Talzin, a Nightsister who appeared in Season Three of the TV series Star Wars: The Clone Wars, was later developed from McCaig's Sith witch concept.[3]
