The Nikato's Bootheel was an independent pocket state based on the planet Raxus Prime which was established in 14,300 BBY following the Third Alsakan Conflict. The Machinists of Nikato had defeated the Duros Red Credit Brigade in that conflict and constructed a network of clockwork mechanisms around the ancient Tionese structures.
