Nivek (planet)

Nivek was a planet on the Outer Rim Territories, known as a "night planet" due to the perpetual darkness which shrouded its surface.

Nivek was inhabited by the nefarious Shadowmen, who were sympathetic towards the Separatist cause during the Clone Wars. Approximately five months after the Battle of Geonosis, Jedi Knight Obi-Wan Kenobi and his Padawan Anakin Skywalker were sent on a mission to Nivek, and were nearly defeated by the fierce, well-equipped natives. However, they were able to locate and destroy a Separatist factory on the planet, and escaped with their lives.
