Non-sentient

Non-sentient was a term used to describe to beings that were alive, yet not aware of the complexities of their existence. Examples include the tauntaun, the krayt dragon, and several other creatures. Although it is possible, though it has never been proven, all of the non-sentient animals could become sentient races.
