Norulac was a planet in the Inner Rim with numerous mountain ranges strewn all over its surface. Its lack of a strong government enabled various groups avoiding authorities elsewhere to take refuge on the planet.

Pirates from Norulac had been conducting seasonal raids on the planet Taanab until they were defeated by Lando Calrissian at the Battle of Taanab.
