Nourishing Vita-Caps were a nutritional supplement available in the galaxy sometime after the Battle of Yavin during the Galactic Civil War, a series of conflicts between the Galactic Empire and the Alliance to Restore the Republic. They were meant to be used as a quick, nourishing "meal" that would satisfy a sentient's energy needs while being portable and quickly consumable.^[1]

Behind the scenesEdit

Nourishing Vita-Caps appeared as a reusable "buff" item in the 2003 MMORPG Star Wars Galaxies developed by Sony Online Entertainment and published by LucasArts. The game was shut down in December of 2011. The Vita-Caps were a reward from an optional quest that could be obtained during the Legacy quest line, specifically the portion taking place on the planet Naboo. The quest is titled "The Life and Death of Jonni Skaak" and has the player follow Jonni's journey from Royal Naboo Security Forces agent to leader of the Skaak Tippers. Once completed, the player would receive the Vita-Caps as a reward. They could be used to increase the player's constitution statistic by twenty for fifteen minutes, which would increase the player's health by a small amount.^[1]
