Far more sophisticated than matter/antimatter reactors, the nova generator worked on the basis of trapping a star and bombarding it with R-band emissions. This would cause it to go supernova and the resulting energy would be stored for later use.

HistoryEdit

This was an experimental form of energy being considered by Imperial researchers during the Galactic Civil War.
