This laboratory was the location where Doctor Nuvo Vindi re-created the Blue Shadow Virus.

In 22 BBY, Doctor Vindi was able to reproduce the Blue Shadow Virus, a deadly plague thought to be eradicated that kills all living organisms. It was here he manufactured a large amount of the virus for the Confederacy of Independent Systems to be dispersed throughout the galaxy in special detonation devices.[2]
The laboratory, which was located in the eastern swamps of Naboo, was discovered by Senator Padmé Amidala and Representative Jar Jar Binks who reported it's location back to Theed before being captured by Separatist battle droids. Republic forces, led by Generals Anakin Skywalker and Obi-Wan Kenobi, assaulted the lab with the primary objective of neutralizing the viral threat. The secondary objective was to rescue Amidala and Binks.[2]
Clone troopers were able to locate and disarm all but one of the virus delivery bombs and in the ensuing commotion of the raid, one of the devices was detonated, releasing a deadly blue plague-ridden cloud. Republic forces were able to seal the base before any of the viral agent could be released into Naboo's atmosphere, but with the exception of Jar Jar Binks, all others were infected by the virus. Skywalker and Kenobi were safely outside the lab when it was sealed, having apprehended doctor Vindi before he could escape.[2]
As Skywalker and Kenobi went in search of a cure for the virus, Commander Ahsoka Tano led what remained of her team, including Rex and some clone troopers, to eliminate any remaining Separatist droids who were attempting to break out of the facility and thereby release the plague onto the surface of Naboo. They succeeded in destroying all remnants of battle droids before they could escape the facility, realizing they were likely sealed in their own tomb. However, Skywalker and Kenobi returned with a cure to the deadly Blue Shadow Virus and rescued their trapped comrades.[1]
