Nysad was one of Jabba the Hutt's many Kajain'sa'Nikto guards and servants. He was aboard the Khetanna at the Great Pit of Carkoon when Luke Skywalker was to be executed.

When he was awakened from his nap in one of the supply closets aboard the barge, he slowly realized the Rebels had somehow thwarted Jabba. He erupted from some cellar doors leading onto the deck, to find the lightsaber wielding Skywalker right in front of him. Nysad fired off two shots, both of which Skywalker deflected. He was killed by the deflected shots.
