The Heavy homing spider droid was a successor to the OG-9 Homing spider droid.
Like its predecessor, the heavy spider was a droid tank deployed in the Clone Wars by the Confederacy. Unlike the OG-9, it featured twin heavy gatling-style laser cannons, which could cripple artillery and other vehicles. A single, anti-infantry laser sat atop it, as to protect itself from the enemy's smaller units of war.
