- "Check it out, corporal. We'll cover you."
- ―OWO-1, moments before his destruction.
OWO-1 was an OOM command battle droid sent by Viceroy Nute Gunray to make certain that Qui-Gon Jinn and his apprentice, Obi-Wan Kenobi, had been killed by a dose of deadly dioxis gas which had previously been inserted inside the room in which the two Jedi were waiting. Leading his squad of security droids into the gas-filled room, OWO-1 discovered that the gas had not functioned as intended, and before he could react he and the rest of his squad were destroyed by the Jedi.

Biography
Edit
OWO-1 was created by Baktoid Combat Automata some time prior to the Invasion of Naboo for the Trade Federation's droid army. During the trade group's blockade of the planet, this droid was stationed aboard the Saak'ak, the Federation's Lucrehulk-class command ship. There, he led a squad consisting of seven other OOM security droids under the command of Viceroy Nute Gunray. He and his squad were tasked with the mission of confirming the deaths of Qui-Gon Jinn and Obi-Wan Kenobi by dioxis gas in the ship's conference room, with orders to blast the Jedi on sight if need be. Upon reaching the conference room, he ordered a corporal inside to investigate, with OWO-1 and the other security droids offering cover fire. The corporal did not return, and much to his dismay the droid commander realized that both Jedi were still living as they destroyed both him and the rest of his squad.
Characteristics
Edit
OWO-1 was designated from other OOM droids by the yellow markings on his head and torso and the twin antennae mounted on his back. Using these antennae, OWO-1 could communicate with the Central Control Computer or his superiors. Like the majority of his droid type, he was equipped with a standard-issue E-5 blaster.
