Obersken was the chief mechanic at the Syndic Mitth'raw'nuruodo training academy. An elderly, but still burly Chiss with white hair, he disapproved of rash action and attempts to play the hero. He was frequently called upon to fix Jagged Fel's clawcraft, the Blue Flame due to Fel's propensity for accidents. This rashness earned Fel many scoldings from Obersken.

Obersken almost certainly died in the attack on the Academy in 19 ABY.
