Obroa-skai was a planet located in the Obroa-skai system of the galaxy's Inner Rim. It was known mostly for its libraries and medcenters. At the end of the Clone Wars, one of those medcenters bought a fleet of Sephi flyers from Thustra for use during emergency evacuations. Galen Walton Erso served as a teacher at a college on the planet.
In 14 BBY, Berch Teller and his rebel cell transmitted disinformation that they were traveling on Moff Wilhuff Tarkin's stolen corvette Carrion Spike to Obroa-skai. In response, the Empire diverted considerable resources including three interdictor vessels to apprehend the insurgents. The Immobilizer 418 cruiser's gravity well projectors malfunctioned, triggering a space accident involving several ships that claimed the lives of 1,100 passengers aboard the MC80 star cruiser Stellar Vista. Following the accident, the surviving ships were towed to Obroa-skai's shipyards for repairs.
