Off Chance was an old blockade runner that had been won by Lando Calrissian in a sabacc game.

After the raid on GemDiver Station, Calrissian lent the ship to Luke Skywalker and Tenel Ka so that they could travel anonymously as they searched for the kidnappers of the Solo twins, Lowbacca, and Em Teedee. They flew Off Chance to Borgo Prime under the guise of Randoni traders, hoping to find Lando's Corusca gem broker, since GemDiver Station was the only source of industrial-grade Corusca gems, the kind used to chew through the station's hull.

After meeting with the broker, they discovered that a Nightsister had bought the Corusca gems. Luke and Tenel Ka then used Off Chance to take them to the planet Dathomir. She was left in the custody of the Singing Mountain Clan after Luke and Tenel Ka left Dathomir in Shadow Chaser, as they posed as new Dark Jedi candidates in an attempt to infiltrate the Shadow Academy.
