Old City (Tython)
The Old City was an ancient and abandoned ziggurat located in the wilds of Tython. When the Je'daii Order discovered the structure after their arrival on the world in 25,783 BBY, the ziggurat was already ancient and of unknown origin.

History
Edit
Erected by a long lost civilization of unknown origin, the ziggurat known to the Je'daii Order as simply the Old City remained as ruins in the jungles of Tython after their arrival on planet in 25,783 BBY. Rumored to hide a working hypergate within its stone walls, none of the many archaeologists that surveyed the ruins ever found the rumored technology.[1]
Late in the Je'daii's history the first Jedi High Council was formed and the Jedi Order established. A dissident on the Council, Jedi Master Rajivari, broke away from the Order he helped to build and, while he set up his primary base at Kaleth with his army of followers, he created a secret Command Center deep under the acropolis that crowned Old City's massive ziggurat. It was here, after the destruction of his forces, that Rajivari lived out the rest of his days, transcending death to become the mythical repository of knowledge. While the Order abandoned Tython soon after the end of the Force Wars they returned circa 3,650 BBY and the Fount was rediscovered.[2]
