Once Bitten is a short comic featured in Star Wars Tales 12 in which Obi-Wan Kenobi tells the tale of his encounter with Qui-Gon Jinn and Aurra Sing.

Plot summaryEdit

Han Solo is in the cockpit of the Millennium Falcon, contemplating things over while flying his ship towards the first Death Star. The aged Obi-Wan Kenobi then asks to come in and reveals a story of his and Qui-Gon Jinn's encounter with the evil Aurra Sing. The Jedi Council had recieved a distress call from Mana Veridi, a fellow jedi who had been sent to investigate a disturbance on Kwannot, asking them to offer their assistance. On arrival Qui-Gon tells Obi-Wan to relax and let the force guide them. Soon they encounter Mana, only for her to be assasinated by Aurra Sing. Aurra then attacks Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan, mocking Obi-Wan for only being a Padawan and claiming it is his master she is after. Feeling the duo won't easily be beaten, she retreats stealing one of their lightsabers instead. Not believing two Jedi could be matched by a mere assasin, Obi-Wan explains Aurra was actually a defected Jedi.

Shortly after his story is told, Obi-Wan explains his beliefs on the Force and Han, as usual, discredits them.
