The Jedi Praxeum of Ossus was a facility built by the Jedi Order sometime before the Great Hyperspace War. During the conflict in the Koros system Jedi Master Ooroo was administrator of the complex, taking personal care in the training of Odan-Urr. While Odan-Urr departed for the Koros system to serve as advisor to Empress Teta, Master Ooroo continued his teaching on Ossus until his death in 5,000 BBY on Kirrek. Following his death his former student, Odan-Urr, swore to build an new academy, a Great Jedi Library, on the world in memory of his dead master.
